Changing Peoples Lives

CPL Divisions of Service

HUMANITARIAN DIVISION

CPL International Ministries serves more than 25 million people every year, mainly in the communist countries of the world, where the humanitarian assistance is extremely appreciated by both government authorities and the people whom we serve directly.

This Division coordinates the following elements among others:

Gathering and fundraising needed funds for a specific Humanitarian Initiative.

1

Instead of creating a completely new structure, CPL uses current and trusted networks already established where we work in direct partnership with others. At CPL International we believe that in times of REAL need who gets the credit for what is being done is irrelevant. In other words, we do not believe in or practice putting up “Red Tape.”

2

Providing Humanitarian Assistance at a moment’s notice to those critical areas and countries in need regardless of their political circumstances, their beliefs, and conditions.

CHANGING PEOPLE’S LIVES (CPL) International Ministries is already officially recognized by government authorities in countries like: Cuba, Vietnam, Laos, China, North Korea, Venezuela and beyond.

SPIRITUAL OUTREACH DIVISION

While we coordinate a variety of spiritual outreach initiatives in places where rules and regulations are different, we are extremely proud of the non-traditional ways in which we communicate Jesus’s Love to people in desperate need of real HOPE. Think out of the box lately? This is an answer to how to remain relevant in those corners of the world where your participation really makes a difference without the typical “red tape” of bureaucracy.

  • Develops and coordinates the accomplishment of urgently needed projects in those countries where we are called to serve in ministry.
  • Coordinates Mission Trips of a spiritual nature (Evangelism, etc.) to countries where Religious Freedom is highly restricted for one week or a long weekend.
  • Coordinates live CPL Presentations at your request for Devotionals at your Women’s or Men’s Retreats, School Mission Project, Pathfinders’ celebration, Day of Missions or religious liberty convocations at your local church, or the possible involvement of your co-workers in a specific project.
  • Facilitates your participation in a one-time or on a monthly basis for a specific period in sponsoring those initiatives or to help you find an initiative where your financial support makes a direct difference.

PUERTO RICO: THE CLEANING OF 25 MILES OF COASTLINE

A Caribbean country within the United States: the Island of Enchantment where no passports of any kind are needed!

An island 100 miles long and 35 miles wide at the widest point. You can drive around Puerto Rico in 3 hours. Despite being such a small island, Puerto Rico holds an impressive list of world-renowned musicians, a very large number of Miss Universes, one of the brightest NASA engineers, and many star athletes.

Most people in Puerto Rico speak English, so language is not a problem when traveling there. However, you will be surprised to see how fast you can speak Spanish, especially if you need Agua (water), Comida (food) or El Baño (the bathroom).

Your cell phone will work perfectly well in Puerto Rico, so you will be able to communicate with friends and family in an instant.

Most people in Puerto Rico are Christians who love to share their faith and their happiness that comes from their loving hearts.

CPL International brings most of their groups to stay in El Yunque, one of the largest national rain forests in the United States, located in Luquillo, Puerto Rico.

There is a large menu of activities that will be available to you and your group like: beach cleaning, playing sports with other young people from the local community, sharing bible stories with local congregations, rebuilding the local camp facilities, playing musical instruments, teaching computer skills, and a lot more!

I LOVE PUERTO RICO

LOMA LINDA, CALIFORNIA

English is the main language of the Bay Islands in the country of Honduras, named Roatan and Utila. However, Spanish is also spoken on both islands. Most people recognize the island of Roatan that is 65 kilometers long as one of the world’s top destinations for Scuba Diving.

Its sister island of Utila is extremely charming, with a population of 4,000 people. However, on both islands, there isn’t enough medical or nursing staff to cover the necessities of the islands’ family health centers, of which there are only two.

To give you an idea of the scope of this issue, one of those medical centers within the island of Roatan located in “flowers bay” has just a medical student and a nursing student to cover approximately 7,000 people that live in the area.

Some of the most common diseases: Arterial Hypertension – Bronchial Asthma – Gastroesophageal Reflux – Vaginal Yeast Infections – Onychogryphosis – Prurigo from insect bites, among others.

Some of the most needed medication in the Honduras Bay Islands are: Omeprazole – Loratadine for Adults and Children – Acetaminophen – Hydrochlorothiazide – Metronidazole – Losartan – Ibuprofen – Clotrimazole Vaginal Cream -Vitamins for adults and children – and much more.

Participants stay at the facilities of the Henry Morgan Beach Resort located on the West End, which is a great place to relax after a long day of work

The entire group will be divided into small teams. Each team will be designated to a particular medical clinic, and every morning your team will travel to your group’s pre-arranged location.

Disclaimer: Changing People’s Lives (CPL) International hopes to stick as much as we can to the following itinerary and its corresponding details. But keep in mind that there are a number of unforeseen factors that could force some changes or adjustments to be made even at the last minute.
