A weeklong mission experience to the last communist country of the western hemisphere: CUBA where you will be participating as: a preacher evangelist or a VBS coordinator / regular participants / host of a health-related seminar / Visitation and distribution of goods/ participate or volunteer for some of those humanitarian initiatives that take place during a week of evangelism.
Documents: CPL International brings participants on this mission experience ONLY with a Religious Visa issued by Cuba government authorities. For the visa we will need:
- A copy of the front page of your passport that must be valid for at least six months after the proposed departure date from Cuba.
- Submit a CPL Application form
- A signed Release of Liability
- Resumé (One page only) about your life
Items You should take with you to Cuba:
- Mosquito Repellent
- Plastic Sandals
- Toilet Paper
- Cell Phone for Pictures
- Medication you take on a regular basis
- Clothes: When you pack, think about the fact that
you will leave your clothes behind
- A maximum of two bibles (Bilingual if possible)
- Food, Snacks
- Flashlight
- A small portable fan
- Some Petty Cash
- A laptop and Video Projector for nightly evangelistic meetings (if possible
General Information:
- Lodging at a Government Registered Guest House. Strong possibility of no hot water.
- Average of two meals per day (bring some additional snacks)
- While the use of a computer is strongly encouraged, please come prepared to preach with the Bible only (Electricity is currently a challenge)
- No Laundry Service (the pastor’s wife could help, but please be sure you provide financial compensation)
- Come prepared for a strong week of visitations
- This type of evangelism is basically for seeding (if you are coming for an African style of evangelism, you choose the wrong adventure)
- Most sermons must be Christ Centered and based on personal experiences
- You are only allowed to check one bag “under the plane” of 50 pounds
- People will love to see some pictures of your family and by extension your church family every night
- Please be aware of the sensitivity of the use of your phone and internet while in Cuba
